From a song to a foundation.

The name Borrow My Angel comes from a deeply personal song written by our founder, Chuck Dow, for his younger sister Charity during her courageous battle with depression.

At a particularly difficult time, Chuck wrote the song with Charity in mind, as a private and heartfelt message meant only for her. He titled it Borrow My Angel, a loving plea for her to see her own worth and rediscover her purpose.

However, Charity believed the song and its message were meant for something greater. This became the foundation of Borrow My Angel. She hoped to overcome her fear of public speaking and draw strength from sharing her journey, so that others might find solace and know they are not alone in their struggles.

Though Charity passed away in 2014 before she could share her story, we continue her legacy through Borrow My Angel. Our mission is to honor her vision—connecting people through real stories, nurturing understanding around mental health, and creating a world where no one has to feel alone in their struggles.
